Song requests for your Kick chat

Someone types a song name in your Kick chat and it plays. PlayOver reads your Kick chat, finds the song, and queues it in your own Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube Music — whichever you actually listen on.

Kick is not an afterthought here. Chat requests, channel point rewards and refunds all work the same way they do on Twitch. Free, no paid tier, Windows PC.

Chat commands or channel points

You choose. Requests can be open to your Kick chat, or cost channel points at a price you set — PlayOver creates the reward, and a viewer who types !sr instead is pointed at it.

Points come back when a request does not play. On Kick that happens through Kick itself: PlayOver turns down the redemption and Kick returns the points. A song that cannot be found, runs too long, is already queued, or arrives when the queue is full is turned down that way — and since 2.0.16 the points are only kept once the song has actually played, so pulling or skipping it before then returns them too.

PlayOver's request settings: Requests via Chat or Points, a cost of 500, song limits, and a note that rejected requests are refunded.
The same settings whichever platform you stream on: chat or points, your cost, your limits.

Chat requests need no status on your channel. Connect Kick and !sr works — nothing to qualify for first.

A now-playing overlay for OBS

One browser source in OBS and your Kick stream carries the track that is playing, with a QR code. A viewer scans it and the song opens in whatever they listen on, which is usually not what you listen on.

The PlayOver now-playing overlay: track and artist, a QR code, and the words Scan to hear it on your app.
One of ten overlay styles. It is a browser source, so it works on Kick, Twitch and YouTube Live, and in TikTok LIVE Studio as a Link source.

It plays on your own music service

Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube Music — the one you already pay for and already listen on. Most song request tools built for a single service ask your chat to paste links from that service; PlayOver takes a song name, or a link from any music app, and finds the right track on yours.

Setup for each one is on its own page: Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube Music. Streaming on Twitch too? That is the same app, same setup.

What your viewers type

The request command is !sr by default and you can change it. Viewers also get !queue, !wrongsong, !skip and !playover. If a song cannot be found, chat says so — and in channel-point mode the points go back.

Commands answer only while you are live, except yours, so you can test before a stream. !srstatus in your own chat tells you what is wrong if something is not working.

The limits are yours

You set the maximum song length, how many songs one viewer can have waiting, the cooldown between their requests, and how many votes it takes to skip. The queue holds up to 50 songs. You and your mods can remove or skip anything in it; viewers can vote to skip. There is no blocklist, so moderation is removing and skipping rather than filtering in advance. More on how requests behave on stream.

Free, with no paid queue cap

Every feature is free — no subscription, no ads, no paid tier and no paid queue cap — including the now-playing OBS overlay, in ten styles, with a QR code viewers can scan to open the song on their own service.
