How to open a Apple Music link in Spotify

To open a Apple Music link in Spotify, paste the link into the box below and press Convert. PlayOver finds the same song on Spotify and gives you a link that opens straight in the app — free, no account, and it works on iPhone, Android, Mac, and Windows.

No sign-up, no install. Also converts the other way — Spotify to Apple Music — and across eight more services.

Three steps, about ten seconds.

Nothing to install and no account to create. If you would rather never do this again, the free PlayOver app handles it automatically.

1

Copy the Apple Music link

In Apple Music, tap the three dots (…) next to the song, then Share Song → Copy Link. If a friend sent you the link in a message, just copy it from there.

2

Paste it into the box above

Drop the link in and press Convert. PlayOver identifies the exact track and looks it up on Spotify.

3

Tap Spotify

The song opens in the Spotify app. Every other supported service is listed too, in case you need a different one.

Why doesn't a Apple Music link just open in Spotify?

Because the two services are entirely separate systems. A Apple Music URL points to Apple Music's own copy of a recording, identified by a service-specific ID. Spotify has no way to read that ID, and neither company offers a way to translate a link into the other's format — so tapping a Apple Music link on a device without Apple Music just opens a web page or an app-store prompt.

A converter closes that gap. PlayOver reads the track's underlying recording identity from the link, then finds the matching release on Spotify and hands you a direct link to it. The same approach works in reverse — Spotify to Apple Music — and across YouTube, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer, Pandora, Boomplay, and Anghami.

How to stop doing this every time

If you get sent Apple Music links regularly, converting them by hand gets old fast. Install the free PlayOver app and set Spotify as your platform — after that, tapping any Apple Music link opens it in Spotify automatically. It works on iPhone, Android, Windows, and Mac.

Common questions.

How do I open a Apple Music link in Spotify?
Copy the Apple Music link, paste it into the converter at the top of this page, and press Convert. PlayOver finds the same song on Spotify and gives you a link that opens straight in the app. It's free and needs no account.
Why won't a Apple Music link open in Spotify?
Apple Music and Spotify use separate catalogs and separate link formats. A Apple Music URL points to that service's own copy of the song, so Spotify has no way to read it — and neither service will translate a link from the other. That's the gap a converter fills.
Is it free?
Completely. No account, no sign-up, and no limits for normal use.
Does this work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. The converter on this page works in any browser — iPhone, Android, Mac, or Windows. The free PlayOver app does the same thing automatically on all four.
Does it work for albums and playlists?
Songs and albums both work. Playlists don't — a playlist is a list of songs rather than a single release, so there's no one matching item to open on the other service.
Which other services can I convert between?
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, and Deezer — both as sources and destinations — plus Pandora, Boomplay, and Anghami as destinations.
Can I stop doing this every time?
Yes. Install the free PlayOver app and set Spotify as your platform. After that, tapping any Apple Music link opens it in Spotify automatically — no copying, no pasting.

Never convert a Apple Music link by hand again.

PlayOver does this automatically on every device you own — free, no sign-up.
